What a beautiful September Sunday afternoon!
I was invited to take my cards along today to a Charity Vintage Tea Party in aid of Wessex Cancer Trust and The Amelia-Grace Rainbow Fund in the beautiful gardens of the renowned Norfolk Royale Hotel, Bournemouth.
I wasn’t sure what to expect but it was a lovely event. The tables looked beautiful, covered in vintage china and accessories supplied by new business Flo’s Garden. The Norfolk Royale Hotel had laid on a fabulous spread of scrumptious cakes and home made fresh cut sandwiches with fizz or tea as an accompaniment.
Fifteen year old Charlie Woodford entertained us with a combination of jazz guitar and live vocals. A very talented young man! As was the young magician who wowed us all with his card tricks as he wandered between the tables.
A big thank you to Hazel Hatch from Wessex Cancer Trust who invited me along. I was also delighted to meet the founders of a small local charity called The Amelia-Grace Rainbow Fund, founded in memory of their eight year old daughter who sadly lost her battle with cancer a few years ago. The charity provides grants for children with serious chronic, life-limiting and terminal illnesses in Dorset.
