Launching this year’s Flamingo Paperie Christmas Range has been no mean feat! Many high street retailers have pulled their production back into the UK which has caused supply issues. We have also had staffing issues at the warehouse caused by illness and Covid-19 restrictions. Despite these difficulties the Directors at Flamingo Paperie have produced one of our best Christmas ranges yet. UK printers have rewarded our loyalty to the British Print Industry and have prioritised our production.

Exclusive Range of Quirky British Designs

Our 2021 Christmas offering is made up of 24 NEW Charity Christmas Card designs, all available in packs of 8 cards, as well as many of the old favourites. There are also 33 NEW Christmas Accessories : 3 new advent calendars, 3 new advent calendar cards, 4 new wrapping paper designs with matching tags, 2 new 3D single cards and 2 special pop-out, dressing up single cards. To keep the children entertained we have produced 6 new colour-in Christmas products. We have also launched 3 delightful new bunting designs, 2 thank you notecard packs and 3 sets of five mini-boxes. Plus a new money wallet design for sending monetary gifts.

Best Selling Christmas Cards so Far!

Four designs are proving to be front runners, some of which have already necessitated a reprint. As predicted, our cute and quirky 6 x 6″ Highland Cows (in the snow) design by artist Tim Mason (code XC152) is our best seller.

Last year’s popular 3 x 8″ Dog Line Up design by artist Karen Tye-Bentley (code XC133) continues to be a firm favourite this year.

Not surprisingly this 5 x 7″ gin themed design ‘Be(gin)ning to Look a Lot Like Christmas’ by artist Clare Mcelfatrick (code XC159) is already out of stock. ‘Flittered’ for extra sparkly wonderfulness, this card is currently being reprinted. We hope to have it back on our website by the 2nd November.

Our other front runner, also by artist Tim Mason, is this beautiful 5 x 7″ Mistletoe Tree design with a beautiful olive background. It glitters with sparkly eco-flitter too. Absolutely gorgeous if you’re looking for something slightly more traditional (code : XC129). We have also used the same design on a thankyou note card pack (code XN008).

Last year these three pop-out single card designs turned out to be so popular that we have introduced two new ones : XC163 Madonna and Child and XC162 Penguin.

We have also launched two new Diamond-Shaped 3-D single card designs this year: 5 x 7″ XC164 Nativity by artist Kate Garrett and 5 x 7″ XC165 Buckingham Palace by best-selling artist Amanda Loverseed.

New Season New Range

Spring is, without doubt, my favourite time of year. To celebrate this wonderful season we have published a New Product Supplement.

Some of My New Favourites

Spring is well and truly upon us heralding new life and regeneration. Our garden in East Dorset is now bursting with life. Swathes of daffodils have sprung up to replace the fading snowdrops. Tulips are coming into bud and our Star Magnolia, the first tree in our garden to flower each year, has just opened its first flower.

I have selected this gorgeous matt textured and flittered Cottage Garden 6×6″ greeting card design (code FP6222) by artist Lucy Grossmith as my favourite of the new card designs. For me, it’s total escapism! The cottage reminds me of my grandparents house where I spent two weeks every Summer as a child. Their house used to be the old saddler’s cottage in the village. Unlike this design the front garden was just lawn. It had a fabulous vegetable and flower garden at the rear teaming with butterflies and bees during the Summer months.

Another of my favourites is this beautifully vibrant matt textured and foiled 6 x 6″ Wild (Happy Birthday) design (code: FP6233) by artist Chester Bentley. The photograph doesn’t do it justice, however, as you can’t see the opulence of the foiling.

The two new gift wrap and tag designs are completely different to each other but both lovely in their own right. Both designs are printed on matt-finished 120gsm paper and have a cutting guide on the back. The wrap dimensions are 50cm x 70cm and retail at £1.50. There are also matching packs of five trendy luggage-style tags with raffia ties for £2 per pack.

Calling all Notebook Lovers!

As a paper stationery addict I have always been unable to resist a notebook. The Directors have answered my wishes by launching a range of ten gorgeous new notebooks in five different designs. Each of these designs is available in A5 and A6 sizes. Their quality is impeccable with harmonising colours on the inside covers, gold foil detailing and a generous 96 lined pages inside. The A5 notebooks are £6 each whilst the A6 versions are £3 each.

Each new notebook design has a matching card. A matching A5 and A6 notebook combo with its matching card design would make an excellent present for any notebook loving family and friends. Personally I’m partial to the sheep design myself. Which one do you prefer?

This year, man’s best friend features in two of the top 5 Flamingo Paperie Christmas Card designs.

Our dog Rufus has been a god send during the past 8 months of Covid-19 restrictions. He has insisted on taking us for a walk everyday. Last weekend we had fun trying to replicate our brochure cover shot above. Rufus drew a line at carrying an envelope though!

Our Christmas Cards Don’t Just Look Good They Do Good Too

MacMillan Cancer Support, Together For Short Lives and Alzheimer’s Society all benefit from our Christmas Card sales this year. All of our Christmas Cards are in packs of 8 and carry a charity message , a “From Britain with Love” image and a recycle logo on the back.

So here’s the lowdown on the best selling Flamingo Paperie Christmas Cards so far:

This matt textured Christmas Tree design by Hilary Yafai (Product Code XC128) is in fifth position. Gold foiling on the stars really brings this design to life. The message inside reads “With Best Wishes” and is priced at £4.50 for a pack of 8.

How About Something Different? Build Your Own Festive Characters

In fourth place is this fabulous single pop-out Snowman card design by artist Emma Leach (Product Code XC101). This design has been die cut so that recipients can pop out the detail and dress their snowman. It is one of three pop-out “Build Your Own Festive Character” designs. There is also a portly Father Christmas version (Product Code XC100) and a Rudolph Get Ready design (Product Code XC062). At just £2 or £1.60 if you select 10+ individual designs, they represent excellent value for what is a very special card. Each card has a brown kraft envelope and a “Merry Christmas” message inside.

The Top Three Flamingo Paperie Christmas Cards Designs for 2020 :

This fabulous 3″ x 8″ matt die-cut Christmas Post design by artist Tim Mason is currently in third position (Product Code XC132). With its cut out railings and traditional colours it is my card of choice this season and comes in a pack of 8 for £4.50.

This fun 6″x6″ Christmas Reindeer design by artist Mikki Butterley (Product Code: XC063) is in second place. Also available in a pack of 8 cards for £4.50, red eco-flitter (environmentally friendly red glitter) brings the design to life. The message inside reads “Best Wishes for Christmas and the New Year”.

The Number 1 sales spot currently falls to artist Karen Tye Bentley’s 3″ x 8″ fun Dog Line Up design (Product Code XC133). Also in a pack of 8 cards for £4.50 the message reads “With Best Wishes”.

100% of all our greeting cards are designed and printed in the UK. This gives our range a quirky “Britishness” that the large American card manufacturers, who supply our high street, are unable to replicate.

We are continually working to improve our environmental credentials. Best practice is applied to all issues that affect the environment. For instance we work with our suppliers to ensure that our raw materials only come from independently certified and well-managed forests which reject illegal and/or destructive logging. Vegetable-based inks are used in production and all products are printed using low, or no, alcohol printing techniques. This is because it eliminates the Volatile Organic Compound emissions that are harmful to health and contribute to global warming and the destruction of the ozone layer. We also encourage recycling by the consumer by having a ‘recycle’ message on the back of our cards.
